Toxic epidermal necrolysis in a patient under phenytoin treatment

Abstract

Toxic epidermal necrolysis is a clinical entity which is characterized by necrosis of the dermis and has a high mortality rate. A case with high fever and generalized bullous and erythematous rash diagnosed as phenytoin associated toxic epidermal necrolysis is presented. The acute and chronic complications of toxic epidermal necrolysis are discussed.

Fenitoin alan bir hastada toksik epidermal nekroliz

Toksik epidermal nekroliz tüm epidermisi saran nekroliz ile karakterize mortalitesi yüksek bir klinik tablodur. Bu sunuda; ateş, yaygın eritem ve büllöz döküntü şikayetleriyle gelen olguya fenitoine bağlı gelişen toksik epidermal nekroliz tanısı konularak, akut ve kronik komplikasyonları olgu eşliğinde tartışıldı.
