Abstract

<p>The incidence of various inherited metabolic diseases is very high in Turkey. A considerable number of patients suffering from these diseases need special dietary products with low protein content for their management. Unfortunately these special products are not available in our country except the imported ones which are too expensive. In this study we made a gluten-free and protein reduced bread named ?Special Dietary Starch Bread? now can be bought from the stands of ?People?s Bread Company? of Istanbul Municipality.</p>

<p>T?rkiye'de ?e?itli kal?tsal metabolizma hastal?klar?n?n s?kl??? ?ok y?ksektir. Bu hastal??a sahip hastalar?n ?nemli bir b?l?m?nde, tedavileri i?in d???k proteinli ?zel diyetlere ihtiya? vard?r. Maalesef ?lkemizde, yurtd???ndan y?ksek fiyatla ithal edilenler hari?, bu ?zel diyet ?r?nleri bulunmamaktad?r. Bu ?al??mada "?zel Diyet Ni?asta kme?i" ad? verilen gl?tensiz ve d???k proteinli bir ekmek yapt?k. Bu ?zel ekmek, ba?ta fenilketon?ri ve ??lyak hastal??? olmak ?zere ?e?itli kal?tsal metabolizma hastal?klar?n?n tedavisinde ba?ar? ile kullan?ld?. "?zel Diyet Ni?asta kme?i" ?u anda ?stanbul Belediyesi'ne ba?l? Halk kmek ?irketi'nin sat?? b?felerinde sat?lmaktad?r.</p>
