Toxic epidermal necrolysis in a patient under phenytoin treatment

Abstract

<p>Toxic epidermal necrolysis is a clinical entity which is characterized by necrosis of the dermis and has a high mortality rate. A case with high fever and generalized bullous and erythematous rash diagnosed as phenytoin associated toxic epidermal necrolysis is presented. The acute and chronic complications of toxic epidermal necrolysis are discussed.</p>
