Transient tachypnea of the newborn and familial pneumothorax

Abstract

<p>Here, we demonstrated two sibling newborn infants who developed pneumothorax while having nazal CPAP for transient tachypnea of the newborn without any other underlying factors. We think that the widespread use of nazal CPAP in the neonatal period might cause early presentation of cases with familial spontaneous pneumothorax.</p>
